DR. WADE BRINKER

We are sad to report that Dr. Wade Brinker passed away on August 7, 2008. Dr. Brinker was the first President of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society among his other numerous and critical contributions to veterinary surgery. He was an amazing individual who maintained active interest and participation in practice, teaching, and research well into his 90s. The VOS is forever indebted to this wonderful man, and we want to honor his life and his legacy by dedicating the 2009 Veterinary Orthopedic Society Annual Conference to his memory.

Plan to Attend VOS Educational Foundation Comedy Night 2009!

With thanks to the generous support of BioMedtrix, LLC and Orthomed (UK), LTD, The Veterinary Orthopedic Society Educational Foundation will once again host Comedy Night at the Veterinary Orthopedic Society Conference to be held February 28 – March 7, 2009 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Don’t miss this laugh-filled evening of outrageous comedy which will immediately follow the Scientific Poster Session and Reception, Wednesday, March 4.

The Mission of the VOSEF is to enhance the educational opportunities for members of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society by supporting outstanding members with academic scholarships, travel grants, and/or challenging professional development fellowships. No Foundation funds are used to host this excellent night of entertainment.
